Overview

The fixed star astromagic system is based on ancient knowledge preserved by the Masons. Each fixed star has a unique magical seal (sigil). If a star is conjunct a planet in your natal chart, its seal can be activated through a tattoo, henna drawing, or talisman with rhinestones on dark velvet. The app automatically finds all stars from the astromagic catalog (72 stars) that conjunct your natal planets and displays their sigils, group, description and recommendations.

Magical Seals (Sigils)

Each of the 72 catalog stars has a unique sigil - a magical seal dating back to medieval grimoires and Jan Hevelius's atlas. Sigils are rendered in SVG format and scale without quality loss. Clicking a star opens a detailed card with a large sigil image, description, planetary nature, activation advice and usage rules.

8 Star Groups

All stars are divided into 8 groups by influence type: 🌟 Lucky - fortune, fame, wealth 💡 Genius - talents, abilities, spirituality 🔮 Peculiar - unusual qualities, unconventional fate ⚠️ Dangerous - obstacles, catastrophes 💥 Destructive - destructive energy ☠️ Poisonous - poisons, addictions, bites 🌧️ Depressive - melancholy, loneliness ⚔️ Cruel - aggression, lust for power Each group has individual activation advice.

Activation & Harmonization

The main principle of astromagic: both good and bad stars must be activated. The magic works so that when activated, a bad star 'switches off' and a good one amplifies. For each star the app shows: • Planetary nature (Mars+Jupiter etc.) • House and its influence on destiny • Angular point (ASC/DSC/IC/MC) if the star is on a chart angle • Personalized advice based on the star's group

Rules

• Tattoos only for adults • Children can use henna drawings • Only seal stars that conjunct planets in the natal chart • Activate both bad and good - bad switches off, good amplifies • Do not seal on Nodes (except Aldebaran and Antares) • On cusps - only if parents have passed away

Astromagy of Fixed Stars

The tradition attributes specific powers to individual stars and provides rules by which this power was considered possible to attract: a chosen moment, corresponding metal and stone, a drawn seal. The sources are medieval grimoires, primarily the Picatrix and treatises attributed to Hermes.

The section is presented as historical material: it shows how exactly these practices were described in primary sources, with their own logic of correspondences.

Fifteen Hermes Stars

The canonical list contains fifteen stars: Algol, Pleiades, Aldebaran, Capella, Canis Major, Canis Minor, Regulus, Alkaid, Gienah, Spica, Arcturus, Alphecca, Antares, Vega and Deneb Algedi.

Each is assigned a planetary nature of two planets, which determines which metal and stone tradition associates with it. For example, Spica is assigned the nature of Venus and Mercury.

Current Conditions

Sources require that the star at the chosen moment be on the angle of the chart, most often on the Ascendant or at the Midheaven, and that the Moon be in conjunction with it or in a harmonious aspect.

Since a star's position at the Ascendant depends on latitude, the time is calculated for a specific location. At high latitudes, some stars never rise above the Ascendant.

Seals and Images

Each grimoire star is assigned a unique image, engraved on metal at a specific moment. Illustrations vary across manuscripts, with no single canon.

This means any modern set of seals is a reconstruction based on a specific source rather than a reproduction of a single tradition. It is useful to know which manuscript the version comes from.

This section describes historical practice and is not a recommendation. The material is useful for understanding how medieval astrology viewed the connection between the heavens and matter, and for working with primary sources.

Precession adds a separate complexity: star coordinates in grimoires are given for the epoch of writing, and without recalculation to today they are shifted by more than 10 degrees.
