Opposition of Uranus: As a rule, the Lord expresses His wrath personally, and when hands are lowered, we resort to the services of people. The opposition of Uranus presents the Planet with a difficult task of finding common ground with the principles of extraordinary events, suddenness, brilliant insight, and powerful energy. Therefore, it is natural for a person to try to identify with the Planetary principle, as a result of which Uranus manifestations most often come from the outside in the form of unexpected external events and effects, not always friendly (in the areas related to the Planet), which, in addition to their direct meaning, should be learned to interpret as signs of karma. During this time, extraordinary things and events may happen to a person (and come from him), the point of view on the world and on himself may shift sharply, insights and penetration into the depths of the subconscious are possible. However, it is difficult to sustain the Uranian energy (and its mental messages) for long, and temporary insanity either ends on its own with a reverse shift of emphasis to the planets of the opposition, or continues under the supervision of psychiatrists who balance the opposition of Uranus with the help of psychotropic drugs, which is a crude and far from the only means, especially if Uranus has major aspects to other planets, activating which can try to relieve its excessive tension. In an unworked-out version, a person either fully submits to these ideas (risking life, psyche, and career) or completely ignores them (which threatens a sharp activation of Uranus, with the consequences described above, especially if it is afflicted). Working through this involves adapting these ideas to the Planetary principle, which gives it brilliance, originality, and strength. At a high level, the opposition of Uranus endows a person with stable creative abilities and genius insights in the spheres of the Planet’s influence, as well as the ability to see and influence national and planetary karma. Opposition of Neptune: Lies are never a mere seasoning—they are always the main course. The opposition of Neptune at a low level poses the problem of external and internal lies and self-deception in the spheres of the Planet’s influence; here, too, the theme of lower meditations arises—that is, vices: the kind governed by the Planet. By emphasizing Neptune, a person may derive pleasure from the lowest manifestations of the Planet in the external world, and the self-deception may be so strong that the person does not even consider that they are engaging in something reprehensible, unworthy, or immoral. On the contrary, by emphasizing the principle of the Planet, a person will encounter deception and misunderstanding in the external world and will sincerely wonder what is wrong, not realizing that internal dishonesty, self-deception, and deception of others create a cloud of the lower octave of Neptune around them, and the world begins to deceive them through individuals and simply through their fate. For example, in the case of an opposition of Mars to Neptune (at a low level, this is a very dangerous aspect), a person may internally enjoy any external activity, especially aggression, completely unaware of its destructive consequences for the world and other people. Then the situation will turn slightly, and the aggression of the external world will come back to them, while Neptune will produce the effect of complete misunderstanding, resentment, and injustice about what is happening to them, all with a sweet aftertaste of the lower Neptunian meditation of a masochistic type. Then (oh horror!) the emphasis of the opposition will shift to the opposite, distorting external reality—that is, the person will decisively lose understanding of others, and internally destructive Martian self-aggression will begin, possibly with a sharp sense of guilt and remorse, which the external world will categorically not understand or accept. Then the emphasis will shift again... Working through this is difficult because it requires deep, intimate, and essential changes in a person’s attitude toward the Planet’s principle—they must learn to understand and love it and be honest with themselves and the external world in the relevant spheres, at least not lying outright. For example, an opposition of Neptune to the Ascendant (i.e., Neptune in conjunction with the Descendant) requires that a person stop lying to their partners and open enemies (to which they are very inclined), or they will never extricate themselves from the cloud of universal lies and false positions. At a high level of working through, a person gains stable, subtle, and deep understanding of the Planet’s principle, the ability for high meditations in its spheres, which they can carefully and gently convey to others.

This is a very intense and easily excitable person, yet acutely aware of their own limitations. Positively expressing their emotional energy is crucial to them. Their idealism is at times vague and impractical. They can occasionally display excessive irascibility, but during calm periods, they are apathetic and withdraw into their shell. At times, they inexplicably find themselves in strange, exciting, and incomprehensibly mysterious situations. They are quite rigid in their opinions and views. Idealism is combined with a penchant for intrigue. Generally, when these aspects strongly influence a horoscope, a contradictory and disharmonious personality emerges.
