The person may grumble (quietly), protest (loudly), or fight (desperately), but it is better for them to surrender and, most importantly, understand that Pluto is not aiming to destroy the planet’s principle as such (in an opposition of Pluto to the Moon, it may seem to the person that fate simply wants to destroy them along with their family, and not all at once, but in the most agonizing way), but only its lower octave—the one the person subconsciously finds hardest to part with. From time to time (usually unnoticed by the person), the chart shifts the accents in the opposition, transferring the main emphasis to Pluto, so that the person becomes a conduit for the Absolute’s (fate’s) purifying will and does to the planet’s principle in the external world roughly what fate recently did to them.
