For example, a Venus–Jupiter square with an accented Jupiter can produce a person who attracts a great deal of love, appears beautiful, interesting, and unusual at first glance, yet in concrete love relationships turns out to be completely absorbed in himself, his beauty, and general splendor, and utterly incapable (and unwilling) to cast even a fleeting glance at his partner, resulting in a sense of complete loneliness and hopelessness in social (not to mention emotional and sexual) contacts, while his self-conceit does not diminish. Karmically, this aspect signifies the need (in the planet’s spheres) to learn to treat gifts and doors opening in fate very carefully and sparingly, to understand that they imply further work and are ultimately intended for the world, not the person himself. At a low level, in the relevant areas a person tends (if there is even the slightest opportunity) to play the role of a generous benefactor, which he performs extremely poorly, since his selfishness and inadequacy or uselessness of his benefactions are transparently visible, and his general clumsiness causes more irritation than pity or gratitude (the latter will likely greatly disturb the person). Working through this aspect gives the rare ability to use one’s luck karmically correctly, to refuse false opportunities and temptations, and to receive the priceless gift of true help on the spiritual path, as well as the ability to see similar problems in others and the capacity (in the planet’s spheres) to guide another to the true path, showing him the karmic role of his temptations and seductions, and especially personal arrogance and pride.

Overall, they cannot be considered happy people, especially since they miss out on many opportunities due to a lack of enterprise and an inability to quickly navigate new situations. Such people are characterized by a thirst for pleasure, vanity, and a tendency to adhere to superficial rules of etiquette.
