Sun Sextile Venus

Sextile of the Sun: An incorrect choice most often signifies not frivolity or an error, but betrayal of one’s God. The Sun’s sextile gives a person, in the areas governed by the planet, opportunities whose realization will require willpower and initiative from him; it is also likely that in the process of working through these opportunities, he will encounter sufficiently rigid, imperative circumstances that, however, will not be hostile to him—in fact, they will be potentially friendly, but will still demand a certain approach and mutual adaptation. The Sun’s sextile, as it were, throws a masculine challenge to the person (in the areas corresponding to the planet), offering to test whether he possesses the will capable of overcoming obstacles and establishing cooperation; the obstacles here are understood as non-antagonistic, and the cooperation is assumed to be beneficial and effective. If a person does not feel ready to accept this challenge, he may decline it: once, twice, three times... Over time, such a consistent refusal to accept any constructive offers from fate begins to work against the person; he degenerates and falls into rigid karmic programs where his choices are minimal or entirely absent. On the other hand, the Sun’s sextile provides a very valuable opportunity to work through its principle, i.e., one’s will, in the course of constructive activity related to the planet. By resolving internal problems that arise in connection with such activity, a person learns to direct his will correctly, gains the ability to determine which egregore it is directed by, and aligns it with external circumstances and various subconscious programs. For example, the Sun–Moon sextile is a highly promising aspect; in particular, it offers great opportunities for both physical and spiritual development. At a high level, it is an aspect of spiritual teachers who are well-versed in the relationship between the higher and lower principles in a specific person and know how to set him on the constructive path of evolutionary development inherent to him alone. Sextile of Venus: By rejecting love, a person not only rejects God but also loudly calls upon the devil. The Venus sextile gives a person opportunities and an internally felt need for socialization and the development of the aesthetic principle in the spheres governed by the planet. For example, with a Venus–Mercury sextile, a person deep in their soul desires to attract people through the beauty of their speech, the elegance of their thoughts, and the perfection of their written style, and fate will provide opportunities for such development—though this does not necessarily mean attending a literary institute (for the latter, a trine to Venus is desirable, and not so much to Mercury as to the Sun or Jupiter in the 10th house). The Venus sextile grants great constructive power to love in the spheres of the planet. This is a very beneficial aspect, as love serves as a good motivator for work, and a person most often willingly makes efforts toward comprehending and working through the planet’s principle, as a result of which the latter (under Venus’s influence) becomes greatly ennobled and softened. However, a person at a low level of working through Venus, focused solely on consumption, will not engage in any activity requiring effort, even when the light of possible love touches their face—something they will later bitterly regret—or will harden into lonely egoism. Karma always aims at working through or, at the very least, periodically activating aspects, and if a person ignores the influence of Venus through the sextile to a planet, the principle of the latter will suffer from a lack of understanding and love, which will also affect the person as a whole. Unworked-through Venus sextiles result in particularly harsh backlashes from fate, so that the person may understand to what extent what they once voluntarily rejected was truly necessary.

An obvious sense of love, understanding, and compassion for others is present. This is coupled with a real feel for the arts (music, poetry, painting, and the like) and also a sensitivity for matters of value and of the heart.
