Jupiter Square: True greatness does not need proof, only measurement. Jupiter Square promises the planet much... unfortunately, these promises often remain unfulfilled. In the areas governed by the planet, a person feels their greatness—both potential and actual—but the latter is usually unseen or doubted by others, while the former somehow never manifests. In the planet’s domains, the person shows a constant superficial interest in "higher matters," philosophical generalizations, and abstract-religious approaches, but tends to stop precisely where something truly important and interesting begins—something that does not appear as a luxurious Jupiterian gift but requires minimal focused effort. For example, Venus-Jupiter square with a prominent Jupiter may produce a person who attracts a great deal of love, appears beautiful, interesting, and unusual at first glance, yet in actual love relationships proves utterly absorbed in themselves—their beauty and splendor—and completely unable (or unwilling) to spare even a fleeting glance for their partner. The result is a sense of utter loneliness and hopelessness in social (not to mention emotional and sexual) connections, while self-importance remains undiminished. Karmically, this aspect signifies the need (in the planet’s domains) to learn to treat gifts and doors of fate with extreme caution and care, understanding that they imply further work and are ultimately meant for the world, not the self. At a low level, the person tends to play the role of a generous benefactor in the relevant areas—though this role is executed poorly, as their self-interest and inadequacy or irrelevance of their generosity are glaringly obvious, and their overall clumsiness provokes more irritation than pity or gratitude (the latter likely to greatly disturb the person). Proper integration grants the rare ability to use one’s luck karmically wisely, rejecting false opportunities and temptations to receive the priceless gift of true spiritual aid, as well as the vision to see similar problems in others and the capacity (in the planet’s domains) to guide them toward the right path, revealing the karmic role of their temptations and seductions—and especially their personal arrogance and pride. Pluto Square: Angelic wings grow where the cross of fate has chafed. The influence of Pluto Square manifests as a certain discomfort for the person regarding the sacrifices in the planet’s domain that fate demands—at least, that is how it seems to the person. They must reconcile themselves to the idea that these sacrifices will come at an inopportune moment and bring unpleasant consequences of seemingly unnecessary and unwanted nature; such is, alas, the hallmark of this karmic program. Pluto Square is the aspect of Job, though fortunately not always as extreme. The planet’s principle in the external world will sharply dissatisfy the person, prompting a desire to impose order in this regard—something requiring corresponding power. The karmic design, however, has the opposite aim: to bring purity and order to the planet’s principle within the person’s inner world and subconscious, for which they must gain mastery over their instincts and lower desires tied to the planet. Until this is realized, the person will repeatedly face heavy sacrifices and fate pursuing them to the exact degree they provoke it—whether consciously or unconsciously, intentionally or accidentally, from the best or worst motives. A key point is that in the planet’s domain, the person acts like a magnifying glass, sharply exposing their (and others’) smallest imperfections and flaws. This aspect offers great potential for inner growth and purification, while simultaneously producing black teachers of the dictatorial type in the world—those who eradicate low and average expressions of the planet’s principle in the external realm through power, fire, and sword, leaving only the most refined (which go unseen) or, at times, mere ashes. At an average level, the behavior is rigid, with elements of domineering and nihilism toward others, combined with a drive to master the planet’s principle oneself. Internally, the person desperately wants to present the world with their ideal, but this simply does not work—or, in their view, the world is not yet ready and thus incapable of recognizing the perfection shown to it.

Such a person rarely adheres to generally accepted rules of conduct. They behave as if they are their own boss, although they later have a hard time dealing with the negative consequences of such pseudo-independence. They are arrogant and dogmatic, prone to exaggeration, and often display traits of inveterate gamblers and risk-takers. They constantly balance between excessive self-confidence and deep-seated doubts. They are unable to learn from the mistakes of others and utilize their experience, and therefore experience all their own mistakes. They should refrain from unconsciously exploiting others for their own gain. Such people passionately pursue pleasure, are very restless, eccentric, and excessive in everything. Their rebellious nature, combined with shortsightedness and a tendency to conceal information, can sometimes lead to catastrophic failures. They are characterized by religious and philosophical dogmatism and a rejection of everything modern and conventional. Such people strive to create new social institutions in the religious and educational spheres, seeking to bring happiness to society with their eccentric ideas. They often disregard etiquette and do not consider themselves obligated to adhere to common moral norms. Many dislike them due to their stubbornness and arrogance. Sometimes, seeking to convince others of their own rightness, they resort to harsh dictates. For such people, the path to ordinary human happiness is blocked by an intense desire to achieve something great. They love to impose their own worldview on others and consider this their sacred duty.

You can get stuck in jobs that go nowhere from the point of view of personal growth and change. You tend to wall yourself into a position until nothing can reach or touch you.
